Enrollment and intake for Shawnigan Montessori Preschool and Childcare is a step by step process which includes a visit and a meeting to explore the parent’s child care needs, set educational expectations, and determine commitments.

Step 1 – School Visit and Meeting
This initial meeting provides an opportunity to look around the preschool and to explore the parent’s and the school’s needs and expectations in order to help ensure a good fit for the child. Typically this takes about 1 hour.

Step 2 – Enrollment and Tuition Fees
To enroll, a non-refundable deposit is made to hold your child’s place in the program. Enrollment forms will be given to you to complete at your convenience.
Our tuition fees are very comparable to regular childcare centres. We are happy to take childcare subsidy.

Step 3 – Intake and class tour
Once the enrollment process is complete we will arrange two classroom visits for you and your child. These 30-45 minute visits give your child the opportunity to explore the classroom with one of the teachers, while you provide the familiarity for them to feel safe during this time. Typically, these visits take place at the end of the school year in June.
